I have just fitted a full Miltek exhaust system to my 08 Cooper S.
I love it!!!!!!
At full revs it does not sound to different to the original but going up through the gears the noise is awesome.
The coughs and splutters between changes are exagerated and low down torque now has a deep boom.
On the rolling road my standard car was making 180bhp but now it added another 10bhp more.
But the whole car just feels more willing to go (perhaps I am just driving it faster)
Anyway.........definitely recommend.

Im sure there will be one or two people on here that will be very tempted by what your saying.... go on Paul get one - or are you holding out for the Borla?
Glad your liking your new system - hows about posting a video?? :)

good idea about the video, another guy at work also has an 08 plate S with the same Miltek system and we were talking today about videos, either stationery or drive past like the Miltek promo.
We are hopeing to get both cars chipped soon, so we will do some pics, videos and performance increase figures on the rolling road..
I cant wait!!!!

Your videos will be rather popular on youtube too...
Sound quality is perhaps IMO more important than video quality in this instance - lots of videos of exhaust noise etc on youtube but then quite often sound rather tinny which Im sure they arent in person...

Hi I've been thinking about getting one fitted on mine from cat back, is this what you had fitted have you had any issues with your warranty?

I had a Borla catback fitted and it didn't cause me any problems at all. My dealer was fine with it. You just won't be covered by Mini if your exhaust fails... Everything else will be fine...

I've actually fitted a complete system to the car.
Fortunately being new I haven't been back to the dealer yet, but I would assume that the warranty would not cover anything that would do with the exhaust or the fitting of it, and I feel that would be fair. But like any modification that is the chance you take with a newer car. If something catastrophic happened (e.g a serious engine failure etc...) I would hope to have the chance to put the car back to standard (just in case) before contacting the dealer....hush, hush, to avoid such issues.
