Hi all thinking of upgrading my wheels seen what i want but for some reason not even a sniff on flebay for mine, cant believe it, put them up for £500 and not even an offer, whats it all coming too !, prob xmas and the climate stopping people spending i suppose.
Emmm prob is i cant get my new ones till i sell the old ones !
On a second note what wheels look best on a red cooper, White ????

If im honest i think your asking too much terry, its irrelevant how much you paid for them, all people think about is how much they initially cost, its hard i know, but thats the present market... and yes white would look good :)

Like we said Terry, it dosent matter what they cost, its the initial cost people think about, and like keryna said, you can pick up a decent set for £200.. bummer, but ce la vie !

They're all right i'm afraid Terry !
So many sets about, I was shocked when you told me that you'd bought them new then had them painted straight away.
Instead of buying those wolfrace wheels *halfords* why not have yours tones down a bit or have a red flip laquer put on them like Aussie has on his black S spokes.
In answer to your other question..... you have a white roof and white stripes so really any wheels should be silver or white .
How about some TD pro race12's or Oz's
Try sifting through this lot.........

yep, know what your all saying and agree with you, just thought i might be lucky being there something a little speical !
Think i might just buy the wheels i want and stick the old ones in the garage and just sit on them as spares.
I do like the Wolfrace street venoms tho, saw them at Rochford tyres in southend on saturday, there a nice combination of silver and white and when put up agenst mine did look cool.
I'm in no rush ill see what happens.
on a second note i did have a bit of luck yesterday, i bought a brand new boxed full 5 pcs JCW carbon dash for £180 inc p+p, now that will look nice !! i have also found someone doing the down tubes in carbon for £85 so they will be next, then thinking about cooper illuminated sills and Cobra Daytona seats for christmas ! :hands:

£1600 !!!! Holy crap! Why sell them???? Even for £500 that would be a big smack in the mouth! I would keep them and put my money into more power/brakes/suspension rather than pay out for more wheels... :)
I agree with streeters - those other wheels you posted - not a fan :) White would look very cool on your car as they match your roof. If you had a black / red theme going then it would be black wheels... :) Silver is the compromise which works for both :)
Good work on the dash and down tubes - I want the down tubes too but cant find them for less than £160 or so??? If they have two sets PM me and I will sort the money out for you as I want those to go with my dash :)

As far as i can confirm 99%, the dash is 100%, comes in the original JCW box, so is pure carbon, emmm sweet, as for the down tubes i can only confirm there 100% carbon but cant confirm if there genuine JCW as there from Japan but look just as good, i have two sources one at £99 and another at £135, both look the same and i will prob take a chance on a pair, i know there not covered thats for sure as i have asked the question already.
The down tubes are on flebay, heres the link :

I sometimes think that if things seem too good to be true, then they usually are :)... call my cynical, but why, when something genuine OEM here cost £x then how on earth can it be a fraction of the price from say Hong Kong? mass produced imitations maybe?

Those arent the proper JCW ones. I have already spoken to them as I have been selling the JCW ones and people were commenting on these 'cheaper' ones.
If its carbon trust me, you tell the difference!

Em, thats what i was thinking, the old saying come to mind "if it seems to good to be true it proberly is"
ill hang out and get some gen oem's, i have seen them for £180 so may save the cash and go that route later as i really want them to match my oem dash.
