View Full Version : What Do You Need

Its been hinted that the residents of this forum would like the option of the occasional group buy!

I (by my own admission) have never done one before, so have approached the subject with caution.....

Emails have been sent to various suppliers, and i've received some positive replies - The reason behind this thread is to gauge interest and to see which product(s) people need & want?

Once shortlisted, i can go back to the suppliers and agree prices and quantities etc....

I appreciate that at this time of year, disposable income may be lower than usual - Dont worry....any potential buys would be run around Jan/Feb time - to allow you all to get over your xmas spending!

Many Thanks.....

Thanks for posting about this - Im interested in quick detailer, wax and possibly a foaming lance... a few other things too but as you mention its not going to be for a while so will let others come forward with waxes etc...

In terms of which makes well your the expert so will await your recommendation and then go from there... :)

What I had in mind was something like a basic wash kit....

Mitt
Foam Lance (Possibly)
Buckets With/Without Grit Guards
Waffle Weave Drying Towells
Shampoo
Wax

People can therefore, opt for what they need?
This kit will maintain a decent finish and prevent further scratching/swirls....

Its just a thought ?

What sort of price would we be looking at for the foaming lance? Does it only work with a pressure washer or can you get versions to work with a normal hose?

You can get ones which work with a normal hose....

For the more ambitious of you, I would advise getting a jetwash - I have a Karcher, which can be obtained cheaply sometimes - i will keep my ear to the ground and make people aware when those deals ''pop up''

Foam lances can be ordered, for most makes of Pressure Washer...
At this stage, no prices im afraid - just shortlisting products.

Grit guard is a good one to have if not too expensive.
Wax.
Quick detailer.
Also some drying towels.
Would like some products which offer strong protection against salt etc to apply for winter protection.
Is there any under body protection products? Or will normal waxes do?
Interior cleaning/protection products.
Leather seat cleaner / conditioners.
Some tools for cleaning the hard to reach areas - inside air vents, inbetween the "Cooper S" writing on my car would be usefull.
Engine bay cleaning products.

Those are the general areas Im interested in, I leave it to you to suggest your favoured products :)

Ok...
After much hinting...i have been in talks with a supplier

I will be producing a list in the Group Buy section for people to add their names to....

Im sure i dont need to explain but......if we dont get the interest...it wont happen!

What ive decided to offer is a kit....which allows you to maintain a decent finish (swirl free) -

All going well - I should also able to obtain other products....but that will be totally separate to the GB....

Thanks
