Halo Sidelight Warning!!!

Hey guys

just spoke to john at Modnmini about another matter which I would like to say he was very helpful on!!

He mentionned that last night he got stopped by the police for his halo sidelights and given three points for them due to the colour!!

These have always been on the border of being legal if you ask me, E mark or no Emark!

When I got mine some of you may remember that I changed the LEDS to 1W white LEDS which are more powerful and alot lot whiter!

well now there is a new style out that have over 180 degrees illumination so they fill the halo more fully!!

I'm in no way guranteeing how legal these are but my previous 1W LEDS saled through my MOT so take that how you will!

As I'm saying, i am only doing this as friendly advice to those who have or going to get these sidelights and again in no way am i certifying them as legal but I WILL say that these are brighter and whiter than the supplied LEDs!

I have just noticed that my car has factory xenons (Not in dealers ad) and badly want my halo headlights on the car as it is pre facelift and the xenons are good but not as good as the halos with the osram night breaker bulbs in!

John said you can change it all out and bung up the washer pipe but i have noticed on the halo headlights they have the same fitting to accomodate the washers so gonna see if i can keep em!

but the xenons will go but not too fussed as like i said theyre not over bright and the blueish colour doesn't bother me!

When one of our customers had this happen, we had ULTRA fax us a copy of the legal documents, which the customer then showed the police.

No further action was taken.

Great idea on changing the leds tho. Ive known peeps change the leds for whiter bulbs, but these get too hot and melt the internals of the HALO.
