Good afternoon everyone!
Its coming to the point now where the club is starting to expand week by week, and i would like to offer the option for current members to become Club Members.
This is just a vote to put out some feelers and get some feedback from all of you.
I've contacted a good handful of companies to become sponsors of our website, and maybe offer us special Club Member Discounts and Offers !
So what do you all think about Club Membership? I'll add a poll to this thread and get official numbers, but post in this thread also :Cute:.
So far the following items will be available to Club Members...
EssexMini2.co.uk Email Address (Example@EssexMini2.co.uk)
Club Discounts and Offers/Groupbuys from Sponsors
Free EssexMini2 Window Vinyl/Sticker and Flyers to Distribute
Gallery to store Photo's
Access to Club Membership Forum
Increase in Forum Personalisation (Larger Quota for PM's, Avatar and Sig sizes etc)This is the list so far, depending on the interest the list can be increased. So if there is anything else you would like included then have your say :GeekTounge:.

Not being picky, but would would it be possible to have our names on the flyers? this is just an example : Club name, web address , along the lines of " You've been MINI'd/Spotted by { insert name}, or is this too much hasle, and would it be too costly?

I could leave it a blank field so you can put your own name in it :Cute:.. Once i get the prices and look at the costs i'll be able to decide then.
Thanks Dawn! Maybe that'll send the ball rolling lol..

Yes i would if the cost was around the norm of £10.
I think once the flyers and stickers are made to promote the club the site will take off.
Remember though that you will always be limited by the amount of mini's in Essex. Most people are not into the whole club thing but i feel this club caters for the mature person (no disrespect intended to anyone)

Andy, i think the thing to remember is that the club is still very young itself, and untill flyers etc are sorted out, then yes, it does have a majority of members over 30. Im not sure on the point that it 'caters for the mature person', when i was your age, in fact a year younger i had a mortgage so wasnt able to have a nice car. You boys are very lucky to have such nice cars at your age, this leads me to the point, i think that in all clubs the majority are going to be older people who have worked a lot of years to get a nice car, and the younger members are going to be a minority  .
Age is just a number, it depends on your out look in life.
And its not being disrespectful Andrew, i know im old , but with a mental age of about 10!!!:Smug: :Cute: xx

Hi All,
This is just a dump of my brain on this issue and some people may agree or disagree with what I say.
Firstly, would like to take this chance to thank David for coming up with the idea of this club and pushing it through to where it is today (of course that couldn't have happened without each and everyone of the current "members" of EssexMini2).
Secondly, I think the idea of "offical" club membership is a good one but think we need to consider what we will charge, what the money will be spent on etc.
Think it's also important that we have a view of what the future is for the club and start to get some events on the calendar for next year, maybe regular monthly meets or something, a few shows etc etc.
And going back to David's point about website sponsers I'm sure that Sewells would be interested and would sort out some sort of discount for us.
I might have a few more thoughts during the day and if so I'll edit the post.

Excellent dean thank you :Cute:.
Like Andy said it will be about £10 for the year, which will help me cover costs for hosting, forum updates, flyers, Club Stickers and so on.
Although i got a very very good deal on hosting (my friend owns the company) the more users we have that want to upload pictures, video's etc the more storage and bandwidth i'll need to pay for.
So far its all been coming out my own pocket, which i don't mind for the initial setup, but as the club starts to expand i may need a little help .
Like Dawn said we are quite a new and upcoming club, and we are expanding. With flyers and stickers people will start to see what we are about and open for there interest.
I'll give Sewells a go over the weekend and see what i can come up with. It would be excellent if we could have them as our sponor and ask them to offer a discount for us :GeekTounge:.
Anymore thoughts would be excellent, remember that Club Membership isn't a must, its a choise still.
Just a quick breakdown about what the Club Membership will cover..
Hosting (Domain name, bandwidth, storage)
Forum (Updates, renewal, maintanance)
Flyers
Club Stickers (Window Vinyl's etc)Of course none of this money will be going directly into my pocket in any way, it'll be an aid to help me cover costs on the Clubs behalf.
Keep the questions coming guys!

One other thing, is in terms of referals, I think for every person that signs up as a result of a flyer from a current member, that member should receive a discount on the renewal of there membership.
For example if I refered two people to EssexMini2 that became fully paid up club members I would get £2 off my renewal.
Think that's fair what do other people think?

Some sort of referal system can be put in place if the club took off that well. The forum can tell me exactly who refered who and when, so that can be an option :Cute:.
